The Chase is a songwriting team, founded by Adam Fearnall and Tom McIntosh. We believe that anyone can practice songwriting and that all of us deserve the opportunity to experience joy that comes from the creative process. Like any craftsperson, we are in a constant state of apprenticeship. We learn from the artists that we've listened to since we were young, the ones that we listen to as we get older, and from everyone who shows the courage to wear some of their heart on their sleeve. As a songwriting team, we aspire to work with people to develop creative processes that help them to feel alive and to find the songs that they need to write.
As a band, The Chase is an onstage expression of our friendship and our belief in the creative process. Both of us hold out hope that someday, a bolt of lightning will strike and we'll be jolted into a future as recording artists. However, until that time, you'll find us getting together to write new material and playing shows in the general London area. We love playing shows that give us a chance to interact with the audience and are much better suited to listening rooms than bars. We do our best to always say yes to opportunities to play, so hopefully we can join you at your next event.
